One of Oakland major industrial corridors runs along San Leandro Street, which has been designated a heavy truck route and provides businesses engaged in high-capacity hauling to efficiently access freeways and Port of Oakland facilities, as you can see from the map below:
The corridor runs through some of Oakland’s heaviest industrial zones, designated by the city for manufacturing, warehousing, and other intensive industrial uses. This makes it one of the best locations in the city for large-scale, resource-intensive industrial operations.
The challenge can finding the right industrial space in a fairly small geographic area with limited warehouse inventory. Fortunately, that’s our job – let us know what you need and we’ll get to work finding it along the heavy truck route.
Truck permitting and enforcement along the heavy corridor is handled by the Oakland Police Department commercial vehicle division, which should be one of the first calls you make when considering locating your operations in this area: 510-777-8615.
